Affiliate Action Guide #2:
Protecting Your Affiliate Link

Although the Tattoo niche doesn't usually suffer commission theft, we highly recommend that you get into the routine of using a redirect script to hide your link so you can use this technique in future when you're promoting in other niches like the 'internet marketing' niche that are already aware of affiliate links.

1. Create a new .txt file.

2. Enter the follow line of code inside your .txt file;

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=YOUR LINK">

3. Replace 'YOUR LINK' with your ClickBank affiliate link.

4. Close and save the text file.

5. Rename the text file to a index.html file.

6. Create a new folder called 'tattoofever'.

7. Move the index.html into your new folder.

8. Upload this folder to the root of one of your websites.

Example:

If you already own a website eg. http://www.yourdomain.com you can place your tattoofever folder in the root of your site so that it becomes http://www.yourdomain.com/tattoofever.

Now test the link to see if it redirects to the TattooFever sales page and if so, you've done it! You should also note that when a visitor lands on the sales page, your affiliate link will also be masked.

We high recommend that you continue to practice this technique when you promote other products especially if you're promoting through Email.
